Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival

Synergia is proud to announce that Cache Creek Wild and Scenic has been accepted into the 2006 Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival in Nevada City . The festival is hosted by SYRCL, the South Yuba River Citizens’ League, and takes place January 13-15. This is the second year in a row that Synergia will screen a student film. Last year, «Dude, Where’s My River?», about the Hetch Hetchy Valley and water system, won the «Best of Entries» award. Cache Creek Wild and Scenic will show at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday January 14, and Lois Wolk (at Synergia’s request) will be there to introduce the film. At 2:50 the same day, Tom and Debra and one of the students or staff will participate in a panel on «activist filmmaking». For more information, follow this LINK.
